not feeling it

  • This isn't a pity party so don't run away in fear or panic that something enormous is wrong but I am just not feeling it lately
  •  I refuse to air dirty laundry here, it does nothing. To say that I am so frustrated is the understatement of the century.
  • I desperately want to move forward with my life but I cannot for 6 more months.
  • 6 more months is not a long time unless you are waiting for something, then it is an eternity.
  • Moving on.
  • I cooked, what I thought was a fabulous new recipe yesterday, Mahi Mahi with a pineapple salsa.
  • Rosie gagged and wretched literally, she hated it so much.
  • Lily woke up covered in hives today. Who knew she was allergic to Mahi Mahi? Not I.
  • Cr*p, there goes my mother of the year award again.
  • My windows are coming along. They just need paint and hardware.
  • They need hardware cos I took all of the old stuff off and put it in a safe place and can't find it a-n-y-w-h-e-r-e.
  • I don't feel like painting them, I don't want to put them up until this is my house.
  • It's one of the things I want to be about me.
  • Plus they weigh a freaking tonne and I have no idea how to hang them.
  • Stuff has been going on across the pond, that isn't good.
  • My daddio is all stressed out and his wifey isn't very well.
  • Thankfully we all have a warped sense of humour.
  • My Father stinks at dealing with bad things when it involves someone he cares about.
  • He really sucks at it.
  • Do not tell him I said that.
  • The girls are loving school this year.
  • Crazy big kid of mine is rocking the high school math.
  • The Pickle is finally learning that it's fabulous to be her.
  • I wish the  temperatures would drop a whole lot  a little.
  • I  want to decorate the house for Autumn but it seems nuts to do so when it's still in the mid 90's.
  • There you have it.
  • Not in a nutshell but in a bullet post.
  • Exciting stuff, no?

  1. Six months is not so long when you consider how long this has taken. This side of the pond there is a good support network, and people are managing.
Why paint or upcycle when you are not in the mindset.Save that for when the six months is up...and re-air the place.......spring is always the best time for our creative energies.
There is nothing I can say about your cooking....as I have not had it for a while. The good news is that Rosie has survived the trauma
Hope Lilly;s hive situation improves quickly.
Above all get some just 'You' time; and pamper your inner energies. You can do this...no flagging in the last mile.
Love you..wish I could do more.

  2. Colin is right.....6 months is not a lot of time in the grand scheme of things. The part about losing the hardware cracks me up......it is so me to do that. There's a giant storage place in the sky that has all our "stuff" we put in a safe place so we don't lose it!!! If you quit thinking about how to hang the windows you will be "inspired" as to how to do it. Won't be the last you cook something fabulous that no one likes....ask Popster I do it all the time!
PS Maybe I should have done bullets???

  3. Girl...in 6 months it will be Spring Break! You should come visit us in the frigid north! I will be keeping your family in my thoughts and prayers. Huge hugs....and if you ever want to visit, know that our guest room is ready and waiting and we'll pick you up at the airport. (hides the pooch) :)
